Please complete an application to start the recruiting process.
The application is intended to establish a player profile and give the guild some history regarding your behavior and progression within the game.  It helps us determine whether or not you are a good fit for this guild.

Once you've filled out an application, you may expect the following to happen:

  • An officer of the guild will respond to your application post and attempt to contact you in-game.  The officer may be one of the guild class masters or assistants (specifically for your class), or one of our recruitment officers.

  • The officer contacting you may ask a few preliminary interview questions depending on how thoroughly you filled out the application.  At the same time, the officer will schedule a trial run with you if they feel you make a good potential candidate.

  • The trial run will consist of guild members, often including the officers who have already contacted you.  It is typically conducted in a heroic 5-man instance, though we have occasionally taken applicants on larger raids.  The trial run is intended as both a test of your abilities and an interview.  You will be engaged in conversation, asked questions and able to ask us any questions of your own.  After the run, those who participated will discuss your potential acceptance into the guild.

  • After your trial run, you may be offered an invite or be declined membership into the guild.  The invite may come immediately after the run or some days after.  We generally shoot for a decision within a few days of the trial run if an invite isn't sent out immediately afterward. We might also desire an additional trial run, depending on the circumstances.

  • If you are not accepted into the guild, you will be informed as to why. Be advised that our decision is final. However, you may reapply for admission into Ouroboros at a later date if you desire.

  • If you are accepted into the guild, you will generally be issued an invitation by the guild class master (or assistant) for your class.  You will also have an opportunity to ask any additional questions you may have about Ouroboros.  After a week or two, a we will try to follow up with you to make certain your welcome has gone well and you have been given opportunities to participate in guild activities.

Upon your invitation to the guild, you will be placed at our Neophyte rank.  Promotions will be based on participation in guild activities and adherence to guild standards.

****Cross-Server Applicants****

In addition to the above procedures, the following will apply:
  • We will not guarantee or promise you a guild invitation without a trial run being completed on the main character that you are applying with. There is no way around this rule.
  • We will likely have conversation(s) with you via Ventrilo to help determine whether or not you are a good fit for this guild, that you know your class, etc, before advising you to switch servers. You will be able to ask questions as well - this is an opportunity for us to get to know each other.
  • We will make every effort to see to it that you are likely to get a guild invitation after completing a trial run to our satisfaction, before advising you to switch servers.
  • We will advise you as to whether or not we feel that you should switch servers in hopes of joining Ouroboros. If we do not feel that you are a good fit, or that you are not likely to get a guild invitation (for whatever reason), we will tell you so.
  • You will want to check your guild application post frequently, as communicating with you will be somewhat difficult
  • You should create a character on this server, to assist with the communication barrier. Please do so, and provide us with its name
  • Once your main character arrives on Lightbringer, you should inform us immediately. We will then schedule your trial run ASAP and proceed from there.
